Colaiste Eoin, based in Hacketstown, County Carlow, has recently benefitted from an upgrade in its Information Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure. Working over the summer months, school principal Michael Daly and local Carlow firm t2, implemented a state-of-the-art ICT system, which enables secure file sharing between classrooms and centralised back-up of all school data, crucial to a school like Colaiste Eoin.

Local schools benefit from IT grants

Two primary schools in Kilkenny and one in Carlow will receive €115,000 in grants for high-tech equipment over the coming days as part of the government's continuing efforts to make technology an integral part of the learning process.
